The former speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has rejected his impeachment by the lawmakers in Lagos State House of Assembly.
Obasa insisted that he remains the rightful speaker of the assembly based on constitutional provisions.
He made this declaration on Saturday in Ikeja GRA during a welcome event organized in his honor by supporters from Agege, Alimosho, and Kosofe local government areas.
DAILY GIST recalls that Obasa was impeached from office by lawmakers in the House over allegations of gross misconduct and financial mismanagement.
