The Central Bank of Bolivia lifts the ban on cryptocurrency transactions.

The Central Bank of Bolivia (BCB) has lifted the ban on conducting financial transactions with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. According to the bank’s decision, citizens of the country will be able to transfer virtual assets through authorized payment systems.

Previously, GAFILAT urged Bolivia to adapt to new trends in the global financial and digital economy. At the same time, the BCB reiterated that virtual assets are not yet a legal means of payment in the country.
